Week 3/16:
CF 3x this week
Interval 1: 20x100m
with 1 min walking rest - should be thoroughly warmed up before beginning, each
run should be @ 90%
Interval 2: 3x1mile
repeats with 5 min rest – should be thoroughly warmed up before beginning, each
run should be done at a pace that can be held for all three intervals
Stamina: 4 miles TT –
time trial…this should be the fastest 4 miles you can run…headphones in, hood
up, alone on a track/course! Get at it!
I would like to have
more people posting their results or something stating that they are completing
the workouts in the comments. Let’s get
active. Create a bit of a community
here. You all have the same end goals
here whether it is the full marathon or half.
Stay on it!
Whew. I thought I saw 20x200.
ReplyDelete20 sprints is A LOT.
ReplyDeleteI did this at the gym today (body couldn't take any weight after Linda..haha). It's 100 meters out the back door of the gym, around the corner of Green Seed, to the end of the parking lot.
Remember to stay up on that forefoot during those sprints. Keep it up...
DeleteLinda was definitely a good way to start the new year!
ReplyDeletei need to get on the track...speed work is not my friend...
Get after it, Miss Huston!
DeleteSuck it.

Total = 4.85 mile
Fastest 100 = 13.7
Slowest 100 = 17.0
AVG 100 = 15.7
Note that I cannot count and went 22 instead of 20.
Nicely done!
DeleteI got my runs in during Christmas, but posting from an iPad didn't work. I'll be out there tonight.
ReplyDeleteMy problem has been the warmup. I tend to show up to the track, decide it's too cold to not get anything done, and jump right into the workout. That method always ends in disaster and is not recommended.
Ya, don't be that guy. In this cold weather you would ideally spend 15-20 min warming up and then another 10-15 cooling down and stretching. Train smart!
DeleteDone.
